Announcing the Well Made Scholarship
Everyone deserves the chance to reach their academic dreams and make a difference in the world through their studies.
With great decision-making and implementation, students can drastically change the situation they find themselves and their community in with their efforts. Unfortunately, many students may not reach their full potential because of money and the various limitations it bestows on them.
Even though financial aid is awarded to 86% of first-year, full-time students, many students still have to go out of pocket or apply for loans to pay for their education, which can make their financial troubles increase drastically.
The Well Made Scholarship will support students looking to leave their mark on the world. Currently, book pre-sale proceeds are funding two scholarships at $500 each.
This scholarship is open to all students who currently attend school at Warner Pacific University, Pepperdine University, Samford University, or Abilene Christian University - schools that have been important to me and my family. You must also have a minimum of a 3.5 GPA to apply. The online application is managed through our partner, Bold.org. To submit your application, please write about how you are making and implementing well-made decisions to help yourself and the community. While not required, it’s a plus if you are an underrepresented minority, a first-generation college student, and/or you have a history of community engagement.
We invite applications through September 1, 2021 and will award to the first recipients in October.
How to get involved?
Recommend that students you know apply to the scholarship.
You can help fund additional awards of this scholarship with your tax-deductible donation through bold.org. 100% of the donations go directly to student awards.
You can support the sales of my book, Well Made Decisions, when it is released by New Degree Press in August. More on that to come!
